ABOUT THE ABBOT

Jeff Kirk Trotter II, also known as Cquish, is an artist born in Philadelphia and raised in Delaware County, Pennsylvania who currently exists within the space of music as a beat-maker and producer.

The name Cquish (pronounced “squish”) is inspired by the movie Finding Nemo and was given to Jeff as an infant by his mother. Jeff is a firm believer in numerology and being so, his angel number is 33. With that, he also lives by The Rule of Three and C is the 3rd letter which is used as another pronunciation of S (central, certain, Cquish).

Music has always been aligned with Cquish, from making his first attempt at rapping as a 2-year-old, to writing his first collection of rhymes at 7, and then releasing his first song at 12. The interest for music production presented itself to him at the age of 14, while creating his own album. He created his first few pieces of production on GarageBand in school at the age of 16. Cquish is now making music for artists all around the world while representing Mxxnlight Records, a brand created by Jonny Hickman, also known as Hix.

The compliments on Cquish’s music production include wavy, incredible, special, fire, cool, sexy, brilliant, imaginative, different, crazy, hard, and interesting. Cquish has been told that he understands music on a very unique level, he knows exactly when specific sounds should come in, and that he has very good attention to detail. He has also been regarded as a guru by others.

Jeff has also always been aligned with literature, having author aspirations since the age of 11. During the days leading up to his high school graduation, Jeff wrote two initial sentences of what will become his first book: a musical self-help memoir that truly articulates all aspects of the MAKINEUO philosophy through the lens of his life with most memories based in music.
