ABOUT THE ABBOT
Jeff Kirk Trotter II, also known as Cquish, is an artist born in Philadelphia (Philly) and raised in Delaware County (Delco), Pennsylvania.
The name Cquish (pronounced “squish”) is inspired by the movie Finding Nemo and was given to Jeff when he was an infant by his mother. Jeff is a firm believer in numerology and being so, his angel number is 33. With that, he also lives by The Rule of Three and C is the 3rd letter which is used as another pronunciation of the letter S (central, certain, Cquish).
Music was always aligned with Cquish, from his first attempt at rapping as a 2-year-old, to writing his first collection of rhymes at 9, and then releasing his first song at 12. The interest for music production presented itself to Cquish at the age of 14, while creating his own album. He created his first few pieces of production using GarageBand on a school computer at the age of 16. Cquish is now making beats and producing for artists all around the world while also representing Mxxnlight Records, a brand created by Jonny Hickman, also known as Hix.
The compliments on Cquish’s music production include wavy, incredible, special, fire, cool, sexy, brilliant, imaginative, different, crazy, hard, unorthodox, pretty, hopeful, smooth, nasty, great, cold, tough, nice, silky, clean, beautiful, chill, and interesting. Cquish has been told that his beats feel good, he has good drum work, he has good sample-chopping capabilities, he knows how to keep a beat simple and open enough for vocalists to do their thing, his beats can touch souls and bring vocalists out of their comfort zone, he creates pockets within his beats to bring out the best in rappers, he understands music on a very unique level, he knows exactly when specific sounds should come in, and that he has impressive attention to detail. He has also been regarded as a prodigy and a guru by others.
Jeff has also always been aligned with literature, having author aspirations since the age of 11. During the days leading up to his high school graduation, Jeff wrote two initial sentences of what will become his first book: a self-help memoir that truly articulates all aspects of the MAKINEUO philosophy. Coming soon.
